Gluten-Free Banana Chocolate Chip Protein Waffles

Waffles are just pancakes with abs.

INGREDIENTS:

1 ripe banana  

2 eggs  

1 scoop of protein powder

1/3 Cup gluten-free rolled oats, pulsed to a flour (I used Trader Joes Gluten Free Rolled Oats) 

1/4 Cup dark chocolate chips

 

DIRECTIONS: 

1. Heat your waffle iron. Blend all ingredients except for chocolate chips in a small blender (I used my nutribullet) 

2. Spray the waffle iron with a non-cook spray. Pour the batter into the iron until it just spreads to the edges and covers the bottom. This batter does not rise that much so don't worry about it overflowing. Drop a few chocolate chips over the batter and close the lid. Cook for about 3-5 minutes.  

This recipe makes about 2 1/2 waffles. It is very filling! Feel free to share it with someone or cut the recipe in half if you're not very hungry.  

Top with syrup, pb2 or any topping you prefer. Enjoy!!
